After you have built your resume and cover letter, it is important that you communicate who you are and what you want. How you communicate is important. You will benefit from having an Introduction Speech (commonly called an Elevator Speech) that takes only 30 seconds. In some cases a handout called a Marketing Plan is necessary for follow-up communication.
In this session, Ron Drew will show you how to create an Elevator Speech that catches the listener’s attention with a goal of having the person say to you 'Tell me more' and not think to him/herself 'So what!' This session will also show you how you can use other people to help you by using a Marketing Plan (sometimes called a Networking Plan). Join Ron to learn some tips and techniques to getting yourself in front of the pack in the job hunt.
Ron Drew, founder of Exec2Tech, a management consulting group of executives providing services to various industries, is a former Information Technology executive. He has been a guest speaker for network groups in transition throughout Fairfield County.
