Join us for a marathon reading of Herman Melville's classic maritime drama Moby-Dick. The event begins at 11 am on Saturday, January 26 and ends around 2 pm on Sunday, January 27. Are you interested in helping to read? Sign up at the library beginning January 2nd.

This year the reading will move between the Quaker Meeting House, The Whaling Museum and the Nantucket Atheneum. The Schedule is as follows:

11 a.m.  Quaker Meeting House   Chapters 1-13
2 p.m.    Nantucket Atheneum   Chapters 14 - 31
6 pm      Dinner break
7 pm      Whaling Museum     Chapters 32 - 54
12 am     Lantern walk to the Atheneum
12:15 am Nantucket Atheneum   Chapters 55 -epilogue
2 pm       Nantucket Atheneum  Closing Reception with Whale's tale Pale Ale & Chowder
