Lexington resident Dr. Meikle Paschal will speak about his experiences growing up as a young black man on the mean streets of Boston and how he overcame the obstacles of poverty, drug abuse, and racism. Today, in his mid-60's, he has found his way to both personal and professional success.

How did he succeed when so many fail? Through the teachings of Buddha, Paschal was able to bring order and discipline to his life and discover the pathways to inner peace. In this program, Dr. Paschal will discuss this transformative journey and also read from his new book The Black Buddhist: A Spiritual Journey.
