Teens in grades 5 and up are invited to learn about walkalong gliders in this interactive workshop.

Phil Rossoni from the Boston Museum of Science will explain how walkalong gliders work and demonstrate how to launch and pilot these lightweight paper aircraft.

Phil will sign copies of his book, 'Build and Pilot Your Own Walkalong Gliders' at the end of the program. Copies can be purchased for $20.00 cash or check.

This month's program is titled, “The Cold War at Sea”, and will be presented by D. Peter Lund, LCDR, USNR (retired).

LCDR Lund is a 1954 graduate of Lexington High School; earned a Baccalaureate Degree from Tufts University and an MBA from Northeastern University. He was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1959 and served for three years aboard a destroyer-escort radar picket ship. He also commanded three different naval mine sweepers.

Unrated Chess Tournament for Grades K-3

This event will consist of 4 to 6 rounds, 15 min each. First 5 places receive medals; all the rest of the participants awarded a small prize.

Registration is closed 24 hours prior to the tournament.
