Introduction to Digital Photography for Teens; part 2 Cancelled!!
decorative image

You don’t need to have a fancy camera to take great photos!  In this class, we will discuss what makes a good photograph and how to see the world through the lens of a camera.  Topics like composition, framing and lighting will be discussed.  In May, we will follow up with a class in digital editing techniques using GIMP,  a free open-source software, which we have on the library computers. This is a workshop taught by Russell Library staff member Jason Neely; a photographer whose work has been published. This workshop and the one in May is in anticipation of a teen photography contest, details of which will appear soon.

Ages 11 to 18. No Registration Required.

Green Children, version 2.0 - Putting in Our Garden

In late winter, seed was sown and by March, the seedlings that resulted were moved up into flats. These were then slowly acclimated to being outdoors and now, it is time to plant them outside in this year’s flower bed. Join us in the Activity Room and from there, we’ll head outside to plant. You may go home with a few plants for your garden too!
