Destination: Library! for a special storytime for dad (or other male caregiver) and children ages 2 1/2 to 6 years. Meets the first Saturday of the month with no registration required. Trumbull residents only.

The TLS is glad to present a concert with John Lehmann-Haupt on guitar. Mr. Lehmann-Haupt has built a distinctive repertoire of classical guitar works, acoustic folk ballads and blues pieces. 

From 1981 until 1993, he performed nightly at Windows on the World atop New York City's World Trade Center, an engagement cited for musical excellence by The New York Times. He has also performed in concerts and clubs throughout the Northeast, and in the homes of such prominent New Yorkers as Tom Brokaw, Madeleine Albright, and Donald Trump.

For his fifth birthday, John received a small nylon-string guitar, and by the age of thirteen, he put out a limited edition album of folk ballads and blues. Since 1982, John has been on the teaching staff of

New York's American Institute of Guitar. He has also written extensively on music and the guitar for The New York Times, Acoustic Guitar, Family Life, and several other magazines.

Watch Jack Frost's magic bring a snowman to life. Find out what happens when a boastful bear goes ice fishing. Meet 'The Shoemaker and the Elves'. And laugh at the antics of three pesky goblins as they visit a toymaker's shop on a winter's day.  Sparky's Puppets drmatize favorite children's stories with colorful hand puppets, lively humor and plenty of audience participation.  Recommended for ages 3 up.

Mother Goose and Tallulah (her goose) will be bringing a traveling bag filled with special friends just waiting for a chance to come out and say hello.  Everyone gets to join in and recite thymes, sing songs, and hear stories tailored for young listeners.  Suggested age 2 up.

Representatives from NY Life Insurance will be here today to fingerprint and burn a picture image of your child(ren) for you to take home as a safety measure.  They are offering this as a community service at no charge.  We recommend you call or come in to reserve a time slot.  Estimate a processing time of 10 minutes per child.
