With the support of hundreds of stakeholders in the community, CMEE opened its current home in Bridgehampton in October 2005. CMEE has become one of the most visited museums in Eastern Long Island. It upholds its mission "to enrich the lives of children and families, and strengthen the East End community by promoting learning through play" by presenting educational exhibits and programs and by partnering with other arts and social service organizations to address issues that concern families in the community.

Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum

Cold Spring Harbor NY

The Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum explores the relationship between Long Islanders and the Sea.
Our goal is to get people closer to their personal connections with the ocean, and understand people’s impact on our oceans – and the ocean’s impact on us - by delving into our whaling past.
The Museum collects, preserves, and exhibits objects and documents pertinent to whaling, especially the regional whaling history of Long Island, whale conservation, and the history of Cold Spring Harbor as a maritime port. The Museum serves a broad and diverse public audience.
This pass allows for a maximum of six (6) people. Not applicable for special programs.

Cradle of Aviation

In less than eighty years, aviation has grown, boomed, and declined on Long Island. However Long Island has helped transform aviation from a dangerous sport to a viable means of transportation. It has also produced a large portion of the nation's aerial arsenal in time of war. The many record-setting and historic flights that transpired here, and the many aviation companies that developed here, made aviation the integral part of our world that it is today. Thus Long Island has been involved with, and made major contributions, American aviation since its earliest days and it will probably do so for well into the foreseeable future. Although no more aircraft are being built here in their entirety, today approximately 240 companies remain on Long Island producing a wide variety of parts for virtually every American aircraft that flies. This is a legacy of which we can all be proud.
This pass allows for 2 adults and up to 2 children (four patrons total).

The idea for the Long Island Children’s Museum started as a dinner conversation in 1989 between a group of Long Island business people, artists and educators—parents all. Why, they wondered, didn’t Long Island have the type of institution they visited often on their family travels across the country? That conversation led to a commitment to create for the community an exciting place that would stimulate a child’s natural curiosity and educate them through exploration and play.
